With over 45 years of experience in the development of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) technology,   Synthetic Rubber Technologies' Rimflex TPE product line offers a wide range of grades covering a broad spectrum of potential end use applications.

RIMFLEX OVERMOLDING (OM) SERIES

Rimflex OM Series TPE grades were developed using a unique chemistry that allows the elastomer to adhere to many engineering grade thermoplastic resins including PP, PE, PS, ABS PET, PC, Nylon and Acrylics. When insert-molded or 2-shot overmolded over these rigid substrate materials, the layer of TPE compound imparts a soft-touch feel to otherwise hard and rigid structural components. This technology is ideal for handle grips on tools, handheld electronics, water bottles, or any application where a soft-touch feel is required. The unique chemistry of Rimflex® OM-Series compounds enables chemical adhesion and/or mechanical bonding to the rigid substrate polymers over which it is molded to.

RIMFLEX S-SERIES

S-Series TPE compounds cover the Shore A hardness range between 25 A & 90 A with excellent UV resistance and vulcanized, rubber-like resilience. All grades are easily processed using conventional injection molding or extrusion processes with standard processing equipment.
